Tartak is a popular rapcore, punk rock and hip-hop crossover from Ukraine. They blend these styles to create energetic compositions and lyrics.

Alexander (Sashko) Polozhinsky and Vasily Zinkevich founded the group in the fall of 1996 in Lutsk, Ukraine.

The group was named Sashko Polozhinsky. "Tartak" means forest in Ukrainian. Sashko is convinced that "tartak" symbolizes something energetic, loud, active and, therefore, suitable for the name of the group.

The group has released over 6 albums.

The most famous songs of the Tartak group are: Ні, I am not that kohav (- "No, I loved the wrong one") and Stilnikove kohannya (- "Mobile love"), were in the Top40 rating in all charts for 144 days and 75 days, respectively. Almost for all popular song collective of the group "tartak" clips were shot by famous clip makers at a very high level.

Tartak was one of the groups that performed during the events of the Orange Revolution.
